We believe in education for all without barriers. At St Rose’s we follow a curriculum designed to meet the students’ needs, always assuming potential and challenging students to exceed their perceived potential.
The intent of the curriculum at St Rose’s is to be broad and balanced and ambitious for every student. We want our curriculum to provide sequenced learning, stretch and challenge, and to be individualised for the unique needs and abilities of each student.

Therapy is an essential part of our offer as it enables our learners to participate in the curriculum and helps them achieve their individual aims during their time at school. Our holistic view means that the health needs of our students are met throughout the school day and support the achievement of the educational intent. We offer our students a wide range of rich, engaging and enjoyable learning experiences that focus on the individual and help prepare them to be as functional and independent as possible.
St Rose’s aims to provide a broad and balanced curriculum that offers stimulating opportunities appropriate to the needs of our students.
A team of experienced therapists are employed directly by the school to work alongside education and care staff. Collaborative therapy and sharing that knowledge is integral to the work of our school.
When a child or young person is happy, they have the best chance of progressing and achieving their goals. Ensuring that your child’s emotional needs are met is as important as their physical requirements.
