Student and TA

All teaching at St Rose’s School supports students to be as independent as possible and prepare them for adulthood, to develop the skills to support daily life, to give them the functional communication, literacy, numeracy skills social and physical skills and to help them engage with meaningful activities and become valued members of their communities.

The curriculum is adapted for the needs of each student. The Sensory curriculum includes Communication and Cognition.  The subject pathway includes English, Phonics, Mathematics, Science. All students have R.E., PSD, Living Skills, P.E. and Art and design. Geography, History and work related learning are covered in a topic based way and I.T. is integrated across the entire curriculum.
