Rebecca’s EPIC Wing Walk Challenge

Hi, I’m Becky, Physio Technician at St Rose’s Special School in Stroud. We are a nursery, a school and a college for ages 2yrs through to 25 for students with additional needs.
I have decided to take on this epic challenge to raise awareness and hopefully raise some funding to go towards all the fantastic resources that St Rose’s have on offer to the students, to ensure they can access these for years to come.
I have been working at the school now for over 8 years and am so amazed by the variety of accessible activities the students have alongside their education, These include a Hydrotherapy pool, Sensory room , Digital immersive room, Outdoor sensory garden, Trampolining and many more, not only the resources themselves but also the adaptations required to allow access for all ages and abilities to engage and enjoy these together, things like tracking hoisting, adjustable height access to kitchens, specialised environmental controls, buttons and switches to allow the students to be in control and as independent as possible.
So while I take on this challenge and will not at all be in control!!… but strapped to the front of a plane while Flying high!…….Please donate what you can to support our students so they can continue to have the opportunity to access the fantastic variety of resources at St Rose’s.
