Harvest loaf made by the catering department

All of the students from Nursery, St Rose’s and St Martin’s came together this week to share songs, poems, stories and prayers all linked with Harvest and sharing what we can with others. It was a lovely celebration and an opportunity for Parent’s family members, friends and the St Rose’s community to come and see some of the things the students worked on over the term.

This year we were collecting for Missio as a part of the initiative of Pope Francis’ Extraordinary Month of Mission. Its aim is:-

‘to encourage all members of our Catholic community to recognise themselves as missionary disciples, working and praying together to share God’s love with everyone, everywhere.’

We held a Healthy Snacks Sale after the Assembly and all money raised will be donated to Mission.

We would like to send out a huge thank you to everyone that took part in the celebration, whether it was to perform, watch, send it items, purchase items, make a donation in the CAFOD Family Fast Envelope or pray for help for all the poor in our World. At present the Healthy Snack café raised £96.84 and we will put that together with other monies raised previously.

This money for Missio will presented at the Education Mass on Tuesday 22nd October and the CAFOD envelopes will be returned to their head office at the end of the term.
