Bradley Warwick, a student in St Martin’s, our post-19 centre, as won a place in the South-West Open Youth Orchestra.
A nervous and excited Bradley auditioned in September, and was delighted to hear from the directors of OpenUp Music, who have set up the orchestra, that he had been successful. Bradley uses his EyeGaze communication aid to tune up and play. Bradley said ‘I was thrilled to be selected. Music makes me relax and feel happy inside. The words of songs and the music remind me of those special people in my heart. I’m hoping to make a career with my music.’ OpenUp Music’s mission is to open youth orchestras, musical instruments and musical repertoire to young disabled musicians.
